happy 1st anni to US!! May 26, 2008

today we celebrate our 1st year anniversary.

how fast time flies. 1 year liao. hehe.

and we got a ’surprise’ pressie for our anniversary. our gift to each other. somthing we’ve been waiting for, for nearly one year.

we were both so happy!! and still absorbing the news. the first time the news was confirmed, all we could do keep smiling and sengeh-ing to each other.

thanx for all the prayers and advises. thx to fard & azman for always being there for us and always encouraging us especially when we down (me actuali). hehe

now do i understand truly that everiting is a gift from Allah. if its meant to happen, then it will happen at its own time and target. worrying and crying doesnt help. what does is non-stop effort and prayers. syukur alhamdulilah.

ayat-ayat cinta May 23, 2008

i must be one of the last few people in singapore to catch ‘ayat-ayat cinta’.

but dont get me wrong, i didnt watch it at the cinema like some people who brought the whole family to enjoy this movie. (hehe, you know who you are). as per normal, why pay when you can watch it for free over at youtube at the comfort of your bed and smelly pillows.

ok, so after reading so many raving reviews from so many people and people who cry watching this movie. sori to inform you peeps that i didnt cry. not even near to tearing. didnt even go awwwww.

well i cried watching kabil quishry kabil igam. that was one tear jerker i tell you.

got to applaud the movie for centering on the teaching of islam. movie dakwah. somting new, refreshing. beautiful scenery and not forgetting beautiful people. but i juz felt that there was somting missing from the movie. so lets say i quite like the movie but didnt reali enjoy it lah. i gif it 3 popcorns.

but i also read reviews that the novel is much much betta than the movie. so that i must read. onli i dont know if its available in spore. mayb in KL. will try to look for it. get one copy for me please if anibodi comes across it.

ive juz realised that ive become such reality shows junkie. juz to name a few: survivor, hell’s kitchen, american idol, project runaway & america next top model.

so today axn showed lyke the two big finale that ive been waiting for. american idol and project runaway.

in case you too followed project runaway and didnt get to catch the finale, the winner is christian siriano. his the youngest winner so far. juz 21 years old. so young but so talented.

best part of all these reality shows are the bitchy contestants. so enjoyable to watch. waiting for ch 5 to air the next season of america next top model.

well in case you dont know by now. but i do tink everibodi would have known by now.

for me, i found out at 10am today. before stepping out of the house to go work. turned on the tv to ch 5 and didnt expect ch 5 to show the result show LIVE.

so yeah. david cook is the new american idol. didnt expect him to win. seriously thot archuleta to win seeing how popular he was and how simon was bringing cook down by praising archuleta non-stop.

but good, cook wins. prefered him anyway.

hmmm, i still cant make up my mind. both are good in their own ways. both are cute. both sounds good. both deserves to be in the top 2. but i still dont know who will deserve to be the number one!

i think it all depends on their performance tonite. cant wait!!

this is my fav archuleta’s performance. may sound weird at first but isnt he juz adorable attempting this song.

and this is my 2nd fav cook’s song. the other of coz being ‘always be my baby’.

i want rain May 20, 2008

praying hard that the 3 days of processing will reali take 3 days. den i would probably get to collect my passport on thurs or friday. then we can scoot off to KL on saturday. i cannot tahan everitime we pass by subway. reminded me of the delish tuna subway sandwich we ate at KL. can still remember the sweet tuna taste. ok air liur officially meleleh-ing.

the weather has been terrible, hasnt it. not complaining. altho i sound like im complaining. but mayb juz a little bit hehe. well, rain or shine, ini semua kehendak Allah. rezeki Allah. so juz have to bear with it and give syukur that we are still experiencing normal weather (altho teeny weeny bit too hot) instead of natural disasters that myanmar and china are xperiencing. amin.

its juz that i have been having difficulties sleeping in this weather. especially with Hubby beside me. any skin contact between us made me sweat buckets and this is not in good way. i have resorted to using 2 fans. waste of electricity.

mama said duit karen went upstairs dis month. cant blame us lah. more fan being used. longer time. oh, i wished i had air-con in my room. then i would have no complains.

its been so long since it rained. rain, rain come again please.

woohhoooo its a holiday!!
dat means there’s only 3 more days till i see the kids. well, there’s still friday with the p5 adventure camp.
im so not a camp person.

and oh, how long can i get our new passport if i apply it on-line today?? coz we wanna go on an eating spree in KL this sat. and only if i can get it by this friday or saturday of coz. but i dont tink it’ll be that fast rite? usuali it will take 1 week or more rite? cant call and ask today coz its the hols.

and i still have not taken the passport photo. have to get that done by today. if not i’ll get the endless nagging from Hubby.

we had a misunderstanding during breakfast. here goes:

Hubs: can take for me air batu?
me: nak air ke nak batu? (coz in my home, air batu is cold plain water. so had to ask. ini itik n ayam tengah communicate)
Hubs: nak air batu. (so not answering the qns but he specifically said ‘air’ before batu rite…)

so me went to take cold plain water from the fridge. went to the table and extended out hand to pass him drink. he had a look on his face.

Hubs: kan kita mintak air batu. ais.
me: ler, kan kita dah tanya awak nak air ke nak batu!!!! (angry, frustrated, raising shrilly voice even tho mom-in-law was behind me)
Hubs: ah, ah lah. kat rumah kita air batu ais lah.

hahaha, i was damn pissed off alreadi. coz i alreadi specifically asked he wanted air or ais. arrgghhh!! and he was laughing at me. another arrrghhh. mom-in-law joined in. another arrrghhhh argggghhh!!!

so i started my nagging mode before stomping off to our room.

me: dah kawin setahun pun maseh tak tau kalau kita air batu tu maksudnya apa!! (and proceed to room)

come to tink to it again, me too didnt understand his language even after 1 year into our marriage. so i get the blame to rite?

ahhhh married couple bickerings hehe

fans vs favs May 17, 2008

watched survivor micronesia from 11pm-2am, even tho i knew it would be a pain to wake up at 6am and go to work for the parent-teacher session today.

but being one of the most xciting survivor (there are not many actual after the 1st and 2nd survivor), i juz had to endure and tahan my sleepy eyes to watch it.

we all know by now who’s the winner. its parvati, or parv, ‘the flirt’.

always felt that she is a controlling, two-faced bitch that she was, all in the name of the game. its the flirting with the guys, all talks and smiles with the girls, juz made her stand out from the rest. actuali everitime i watched survivor, i juz couldnt stand her. mayb because of the bitch and flirt she was. twisting everibodi around her fingers. i kinda of had a feeling that she was gonna end up the final two. and now she won.

well, amanda was juz a dumb-ass for bringing parv to the final two. she could have chose cirie and win the money and become a millionaire and marry ozzy. a ditz and a dumb-ass.

but wasnt ozzy so romantically cute professing his love for amanda. awwww, i smiled so hard watching that part. so sweet. on national tv some more. well, they deserve each other. both are dumb-asses. for trusting parvati and giving her the 1 million bucks on a silver platter.

enjoyed this survivor coz there were so many dumb-arses. like seriously. ozzy had the immunity idol but refused to use it, till he kena voted out. then jason was so so dumb to believe that the wooden stick with a face drawn on it (courtesy of ozzy) was the real immunity idol, eliza was dumb too, for taking the chance and accepting the fake immunity idol from jason, so actuali 2 dumb people believed that a stick with smiling face drawn on it was the real deal. and last but certainly not the least dumb, in fact he was crowned the dumbest survivor ever, was erik. for willingly surrendering the immunity necklace to natalie juz because the 4 ladies fooled him that if he passed the necklace to natalie, they would not vote him out. like what the hell!!!

well, at least he got a title. a ‘prestigious’ one. hehe.

the next survivor in africa, i tink. if its gonna be as interesting as this one, mayb i’ll watch. well, there isnt much interesting shows on friday nite, you know….
