*ONE DOWN….* January 31, 2006

I have alreadi booked and paid the deposit for the photographer that I want for my wedding. The price is steep but quality and service is good.

Now Im stuck wif two bridal butiks dat I like veri much. Both butiks offer good not over-the-top makeup, very nice clothes, friendly and personal services. I’ve thot of getting one for my event at home and da other one for studio photo taking so I can try both butiks’ clothes and services. But plan backfired coz after calculating, if I take both separate packages, Ive got to fork out extra $300.

Choices, choices….

Its amazing how men control most of the trades in the world, even in da mak andam world. And men give da bez, friendliest and more flexible services. We juz got to accept dat somtimes women can be such *itch*s. Men are more relaxed and open-minded…very motivated too. I like men…who dont?

Im down with flu, can I not go to school tomoro? (which is onli a 2-hr class). Mommy Fard said cannot…

I have been sitting in front of my lappie since 6pm and time check is now 2.24am….I haf juz finished my response essay!!!! I mean 8 hours to write a 800 words essay. Aiyoyo!

Multi-tasking between watching TV, the Simpsons, msning wif frens on marriage preparation, eating dinner, cleaning the kitchen, taking photos of cats, toking to Dear and doing da essay, no wonder I took dat long!

But one assignment done phew, heaven….

While da cats….

one is enjoying da heat from my lappie…

in fact, both are side by side, taking up my space!

*CRAVINGS* January 29, 2006

Im craving for Crayfish Pasta and Sticky Chewy Chocolate from Swensens. Haiz masa-masa kedai semua tutup ni la cravings yang merepek hinggap kat benak otak.

Haf been having dese cravings since yesterday. Semalam crave for ais krim also while walking at Marina Squre but wen Dear nak tarik masuk Swensens, adalah orang tu jual mahal taknak bazir duit makan aiskrim mahal, so I settled for Magnolia ais krim in a small tub dat cost $2.90. Hahaha kan jimat tu.

But juz now I was bloghopping and saw a blogger ni tayang food from Swensens. alamak cravings datang balik lah. Mengalah ibu-ibu mengandung pulak. Haiz tak dapat aiskrim, NutriSoy Fresh Soya Milk pon jadilah!!

*FLOORBALL* January 27, 2006

Da Geng - Rai went to watch Zal’s or NTU’s floorball final at NTU’s SRC today. First time in our 4 years of frenship, all of us actuali ramai-ramai went to watch Zal play floorball. For moz of us, it was a first time experience watching a floorball match but everibodi enjoyed thoroughly, I certainly did. A bonus would be dat Zal is one of da player. Although NTU didnt win but it was a good match played. So proud of our “bulu man”.

zal’s no. 1 fan who was running a high fever but followed her mama coz she wanna watch her uncle zal play floorball. after watching her uncle zal in action, she’s all smile and fever went down.

So all went their separate way and I went to da toilet in Jurong Point before heading home. I noticed dat there is a mirror in the cubicle. Cool kan? First time experiencing a mirror in a cubicle so jakun me went snapping away.

Okay dis one is way out of topic but juz wanna share a fun class dat we had on Thurs where we had to parade a costume made out of a combi of all da national costume in singapore. Cool kan? I was like one geisha bride, all wrapped in colored paper and dont forget my blue veil.

Does da word “postponement” exists? Too lazy to go and check da dictionary so if me and you understand, den lez move on yah.

If you care to scroll down on your left and under da calender section, in Disember, as you can see “My Big Day” has been cancelled. *sob sob* It has been forwarded to May/Jun 2007, wheneva da skool hols start.

Not dat I donwan to get married asap but all at da request of da parents who tinks 6 months more of preparation will do everibodi som good. Biler orang dah hyper nak settle down ni, plan ditunda pulak.

Im okie, juz a teeny weeny bit of dissapointment but I try to look at da bright side of postponement. Postponement = more money saved and wedding preparation at a more relaxed pace. Den I can get Dear da Ipod video for da benda hantaran and I also can get da little overbudget photographer and mak andam dat I wan. Hehe now I all happy again!

Looks like I’ll be attending ur wedding eh Rai. Maria takmo kacau ur big day. I wan to attend ur wedding and I wan all 8 of you (5 + spouses) at my wedding. So I let u langkah bendul hehehe.

Hopefully Insyallah, wat is being planned goes on as planned, no more waiting. Cant wait no more lah *wink wink*

*HEPI BDAY RAIHANA & SHIKIN!!* January 21, 2006

Today is a special day for two special gerlz who were born on da same year, same month and same day. Da bestest ting is, both gerlz are my dearest classmates.

To my dear Rai, one of da special few ones who came knocking into my life and became a PR dere, hepi bday!! Hope all da happiness dat you’ve been wishing for, is juz a few more steps away.

To anoder bday gerl, Shikin, whose one of her bday wish today is to strike it rich, hepi bday to you too!! Small in appearance but neva in her dreams. Insyallah, may all dat you wish for comes true. *sori, me got no pix of u, try imagining okie* *wink wink*

*OVERBUDGET!!* January 20, 2006

Im so seriously going to be way, way overbudget picking da mak andam and photographer dat I wan. But of coz, you pay for good, frenly services and great quality of products. Having to choose is a misery.

Accompanied by my mom, we went to Zul Radi, Chinta Weddings and RH Bridal to survey for mak andam and we also went to Theme Photography to survey for pixs. Good thing, ZR, CW and TP were all on da same street, side by side, except for RH which is situated at Joo Chiat Complex.

All da people in every single shop were very frenly dat we didnt feel akward but my mom especially fell in love wif da teramat frenly service of da Abg Yunos, owner of Theme Photography and Kak Bibiq of RH. Dey entertained us like we were kenalan lama. My mom couldnt stop saying dat we are definitely engaging da service of Theme Photography.

But for mak andam, my mom is torn between RH and Chinta Weddings. Chinta Weddings is a 2 mth old bridal boutique wif very modern and very glamer bridal costumes thus my mom like dier baju and especially da fact dat not many brides-to-be haf worn deir baju pengantin BUT both da makeup artists are men and my dad has kind of forbade us to get a male mak andam. He’s worried dat will invite people to ngumpat about us while me, I dont reali care lah da gender of da makeup artist as long he’s not da one to put on da baju pengantin on me.

So dat left me wif RH for my mak andam and Theme Photography for da pixs. But Im so so overbudget for da photos. So now time to contemplate….

But da time spent wif my mom was certainly great. I feel dat all dis wedding preps tingy has bonded us quite well. While we were in da train, talking about da marriage preps, da topic of da X came up. Till now my parents are not aware of da reason for da breakup of me and da X. And she kinda not letting it rest till she knows why. And usually at da most unexpected moment, da qns arises once again and everytime I’ll ans wif a “nuthinglah” and move on to anoder topic real fast.

Wat made me hepi is dat, my mom is hepi wif my choice of future hubby way betta den da X. In fact me and mom both are thankful to Allah dat we didnt get engaged despite several requests from her and dad. Well not dat we were rushing him but after 5 years of relationship, which parents dont get worried rite? I also found out som tings dat happened soon after da breakup dat she didnt tell me den. All dose new info helps me realise how fortunate I am wif wat I haf.

He may not be perfect but his imperfection is perfect for da imperfect me…
