Jawi Kelas July 31, 2005

Had a good Jawi kelas today. Wif onli 5 people, including me, Cikgu Ali could focus all his attention on us. The class started off wif around 12 people but looks like onli 5 left standing.

I enjoy learning and writing in Jawi. First time Im learning it. It becomes more fun and enjoyable wen I started identifying the hurufs, could spell and read little by little, altho still merangkak-rangkak. Now Im learning to write and join the hurufs. Not that easy to do. Writing Jawi may seems like writing in Malay but its not. Its got its own sets of rules and ways.

Hopefully Im all ready to read and write in Jawi by the time Dr. Mana start teaching us dat module. Hopefully my 2 hours trip to and fro Masjid Darul Aman in Eunos bears fruit….mango ke, durian ke….hahaha lame!

Went to watch ‘Stealth’ today. Not gonna write a review about it. Juz plain lazy. In the future, gonna write reviews on movies which are interesting and worth $19 onli. So heed my advise people, ‘Stealth’ is so damn boring. So dont watch it unless you got $19 to spare, dont know wat to do wif dat $19 and wanna spend 2 hrs in an air-conditioned theater, maybe to sleep.

Haf not watched movies for quite som time. Cant reali recall the laz movie we watched. No movie interest me at the moment. Cant wait for ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. It looks fun and colourful. I haf neva read dat book. Thot of reading the book first before watching the movie. Gonna ask Dear to buy the book for me.

At laz I finished reading ‘Digital Fortress’ by Dan Brown. Aiyah dat book so damn boring. I took 2 weeks to finish it. It became a time filler for me during my trips in the bus or train alone. All dat Science jargons juz make me wanna close the book and chuck it into the the bin but shall not waste the money spent purchasing dat book. So i perservered and read the book till the end. Plot so lame. Nuthin compared to ‘The DaVinci Code’ and ‘Angels & Demons’. So after dat boring book, Im moving on to read ‘Deception Point’ by Dan Brown also. Expecting it to be as bad as ‘Digital Fortress’. Juz cant stand anyting got to do wif Science.

Anywae, saw the short trailer of ‘The DaVinci Code’ the movie. I got all excited watching dat trailer. Guess wen’s the movie gonna be released??? MAY 2006! Next year. One more year. So slow…faster lah. Same to J. K. Rowling too. Can you please release the next Harry Potter book sooner?? Type faster can?? Muggle’s life is so boring…

Read som forums on the next Harry Potter’s book. The fans were trying to predict wat was going to happen. They were even predicting the title of the next book, based on recently registered Harry Potter’s trademarks at ‘The UK Patent Office’ records. Wah, dese fans are reali fanatic and kiasu. Go thru all dat juz to find out about the title of the next book. Anywae, dese are som of the registered titles but dey mayb decoys:

Books July 29, 2005

At laz its Friday…TGIF! But oklah, 2 days of no skool and not much learning anywae except for Mdm Botox’s / Mdm B’s kelas (dats wat our new Chip kols her, why ah??). But feeling exhausted alreadi. Looks like I need 3 more months of holiday…khekhekhe.

1st week of skool but have received 3 long lists of books dat we’ll be needing. Not juz 2 or 3 books, mind you. For Sejarah Moden, Mdm B gave us 2 pages of books that she requires us to read. As if we gonna read all of dem. Dont tink Im gonna be a full-pledged cikgu but will end up at Mentol Hospital, if I manage to read all dat books. Find Sejarah Moden tougher den Sejarah Klasik. I so love Sejarah Klasik. Sejarah Moden has too many dates. I am so darn bad at remembering dates. Gets da numbers all mixed up in my teeny, weeny brain.

Anoder list of books from Cikgu S. First time and first day taught by her and Im alreadi starting to like her veri much. Very soft-spoken person who addresses us as ‘Cikgu’. Very patient Cikgu also. She tried to make the lesson interesting and som jokes here and there so dat we would not get bored. Dats why she is a counseller at NIE counselling dept. Good choice NIE.

Not forgetting 1 page of books list from Dr. Rock who toks as fast as the speed of MRT. But I tink dat speed of her dats making me stay awake during her class. Ultimate Rule in her class: NO YAWNING! No matter how sleepy you feel, no yawning when she’s teaching coz dat implies all her toking is making you all sleepy and she doesnt like it. She tinks it’s insulting her. Yeah wateva makes you hepi and pass us all Dr. Rock. She teaching us Linguistik. My moz hated module in the entire universe! I can neva get Linguistik. Im so fortunate to get frens like Fard, Rai, Mira, Zal and Aida who are like experts in Linguistik coz dey explain slowly to me wat I dont understand. Looks like dis sem is no different yeah geng.

Have been spending time in the NIE library and Woodlands lib looking the books listed in the book lists. I can neva get enuf of books, even tho its sejarah books. If I could I would have stuffed all dat books into my pants and smuggle it all out of the lib. But too bad, cannot coz my pants alreadi no space, juz enuf for me…hehe.

Next week all lectures gonna start full force. No more doodling during lectures. Time to sit up straight and pay attention! Or mayb not…wateva makes me hepi.

Mr Right July 29, 2005

When we eventually found dat special One whom we decide will be the suitable One to spend the rest of our life with, dats when we must accept dat person for his qualities and also for his flaws. We got realise da ultimate fact dat nobody in this world is perfect, not even ourself. But we want our oder half to change to wat we want them to become and at that the same time we want them to accept us as we are. Double-standard??

Da ultimate One may not be The Prince Charming dat we’ve been dreaming of since we watched ‘The Sleeping Beauty” or “Cinderella’, who’ll sweep us of our feet, onto the horse and we both shall live happily ever after. Prince Charming would have been too damn perfect and therefore boring. I prefer Shrek, he looks fun, romantic and he loves Fiona too despite she looking as bad as him. Haha..

Nevertheless, da One muz be able to make our hearts melt everytime he looks deep into our eyes. A simple thoughtful gesture from him makes us love him more than before. But hey, som bling, bling once in a while wont hurt rite? *wink wink*

Lecturer Sucks! July 26, 2005

Ohhhh I feel so, so damn tired today. Not enuf rest n sleep yesterday, plus a long, long day today. Skool juz sucks wen the parties imparting knowledge to you suck big time too. Juz hate it wen som human beings dont respect oder people and dey act all high and mighty, as if we, the insignificants are at their beck and call. Arrgghh!! Waiting is a misery, especially wen you are waiting for nuthin.

To compensate today’s sucky day, there’s no class on Wednesday and Friday. Gonna sleep like Ive neva slept before. Am praying so hard dat Thurs will be free too. Dat would be an answered prayer.

Gonna enter dreamland alreadi. Nitez.

1st day of skool July 25, 2005

First day of skool was juz great! Neva knew I would miz my frenz, my classmates esp D Selenger Gengz like dat. Was kinda hyped up in the morning. The class was buzzing wif noise. The lecturer even commented dat we were acting as if we haf not seen each oder for 20 years. Imagine dat! And thx Zal for the lovely bracelet from Melaka.

But energy kinda went dwnhill after eating a big meal at Banquet JP. Felt all sleepy and tired wen we got too long a lunchbreak, 4 hrs to be exact. We went back to skool for an hour’s class in a terpaksa mood. Feeling so tired rite now. Still, Im all hepi to be back in skool but a teeny weeny of stress creeping slowly into me after realising dat work gonna pile up in a short amount of time.

Im now waiting for my brownie which I baked for Dear for his bday, to cool dwin. Today’s his bday but he gotta work, poor baby. Anywae, brownie fresh from the oven. I baked brownie. I also made a ‘cake’ for him. An artificial cake dat is made of sticky gooey styrofoam balls dat had to be air-dried. Hahaha yeah weird huh but it turned out pretty nice.

Gonna treat Dear makan at Grand Hyatt’s Straits Kitchen tomoro. Haf even made a reservation juz now. So tomoro gonna ‘fast’ whole day for a spread in the evening. Food, here I com.

Resolutions for da new semester July 2005 July 23, 2005

3 months holiday officially ends tomoro and a new semester starts on Monday. 3 months of doing nuthin passed by juz like dat. How time flies, especially wen u absolutely haf nuthin to do except sleep, eat, watch TV, teach tusyen and go out, haf fun.

So, I haf com up wif 5 resolutions for the new half semester (from July 2005 to Dec 2005). Why set resolutions? Coz I wanna and like to haf goals dat I can work towards. It makes me feel betta about myself and wen I feel good, I feel hepi and wen I feel hepi, I can studi betta. Why 5 and not more? Coz I try to be realistic and set goals dat I know dat I can achieve if I reali wan to and try hard enuf. Why set unrealistic goals e.g. “I shall not eat maggi mee for the rest of my life”, wen I know I neva gonna do it? And why onli until Dec 2005? Coz I always make new resolutions on 1st January and I always accomplish like 1/2 of my 5 resolutions. I consider dat an achievement…haha!

So here’s my resolutions:

1) To study diligently and not do laz min work.

I’ve got dis bad habit of doing tings at da laz min and wen da due date arrives, I’ll start getting kan chiong, dont do my assignment properly and dont sleep da whole nite juz to finiz the work. Gotta stop dis bad habit. I wanna discipline myself to my revision regularly so dat dere will not be laz min cramping of info into my teeny weeny brain.

2) Save money

Yep, anoder bad habit. Dont know how to save money, spend money like water and always haf dis tinking dat money is always dere wen I need to use it. I wanna see a four figure sum in my OCBC bank account. Well mayb dis money is being saved not for the purpose of saving for emergency but rather for the wedding. But hey dats somting rite?

3)Lose weight

Hahaha, yeah every woman’s resolution. Im not excluded. Dis is my resolution for da year and I managed to lose lots of weight before the holiday started but coz of the holiday, all my weight visited me again!! Arrgghh!!! All NIE fault I gotta start from square one. Reali, reali gotta do somting about dis coz “Tahun depan nak kawin oiiii!!!!”. Its all abt resisting temptation. Yeah rite!

4)Overcome my shyness and fear of toking in front of a crowd

I get all cramped up weneva I need to do my presentations. Even tho the crowd is my own classmates who haf been wif me for 3 long years. Juz got dis fear of toking in front of all dose peeps. Muz be the lecturers who haf been freaking me out. Anywae, da onli solution to dis problem would be to practise and more practise. I wanna improve on my Practicum next year!

5) Spend more time wif my family

Juz wanna spend more time watching TV, eating, going out togeter wif my Mama, Ayah and my Nenek. As for my Bro, well, typical maturing guy, he’s neva at home. Im getting married, Insyallah in Dec 2006, so the period from now till dat date, is precious family time. Once Im married, Im gonna move out and we wont get to spend time like we used to. Im gonna miz my mommy…wahhhhh!!!

So dere, my goals. So fwenz, help me stick to my resolutions aite, plish…

Today I’ve juz discovered a self-confessed fan of my blog. Tak ku sangka, ada juga peminat yang sudi dan setia membaca blog ku ini….cewah. Hahahaha. Tank u muchie, muchie to my one and onli self-declared fan. Congrats also to special you who is getting engaged tomoro. Selamat menempuhi alam pertunangan yang banyak dugaannya. Semoga selamat sampai ke jinjang pelamin. Kita, kita, kita doakan awak dan dia aman damai selalu *wink, wink* dan tak lupa juga hepi2 slalu iye. Kita, kita, kita semua sayangkan awak. Hehehe. Amin….

Oklah, my fan dah suruh update blog, so kerana terpaksa, kenalah update blog walaupun takde apa-apa interesting to tok about at the moment. Life has been kinda stagnant, not moving at da moment. Its gonna move way fast next Monday tho. All geared up for it.

Me and Dear met up today to collect his laptop (my X-laptop yang gedebak tu) from Acer coz somting’s went wrong wif it. Acer people reformatted it again.

After dat we proceeded to NIE coz I had to clear my locker. I decided not to continue renting it. Dont reali use it except storing da occasional files and books. While clearing the locker, realised dat moz of the tings inside are junks; mags (Men’s Health), a sweater, a pinky shawl, several laz sem files and books, paper clips, color pencils and there was even 2 bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Haiz, mcm grocery store pulak. So now da locker is empty and looks like my bag gonna be heavy lah.

But…before clearing da locker, I had some problem opening the locker coz I forgot the padlock code. So, me and Dear spent 10 mins trying out all da numbers dat i could remember. I also smsed da Geng, asking if any of dem remebered my code. Zal replied and said I was selenger, Fard replied she forgot, Aida & Mira no replies and Rai gave me da moz help by smsing me 2/3 of the padlock code. Thx all. But we still couldnt open the locker so I went to kol da NIE admin dept and asked for Kaichi Locker company number and den I kol Kaichi Locker and said dat I forgot my code. So at laz, after nearly 30 mins turning dat padlock 360 degrees, I could finally open the locker. Wat a great achievement….yeah rite.

Wanted to makan at da NIE kantin after dat but all stalls were closed so we went to Banquet to mamam. So long, nearly 3 mths neva go mamam dere. Obviously wen Dear goes dere, he will surely makan da Ban Mian. Very delicious. We mamam while playing Scrabbles. Actuali we started playing Scrabbles in da bus from dat Acer company at Jurong and we continued wif the game even tho we were walking, trying to unlock locker, in the bus, while makaning. Hehe. Dats wat we kol multi-tasking.

So after makaning, we actuali wanted to watch movie, but den decided “Wan to watch meh?”. So we went to McDonalds cafe and continued our Scrabble game at the couch wif our chocolate sundae and Sprite. Teruk eh, baru lepas makan kat Banquet, cakap dah kenyang, but den sambung mamam Choco Sundae at Mac…hehe. Dasyat.

Me beat Dear by onli 9 points in our 1st game but he beat me 80+ points in our 2nd game. Bingit banget gue! After dat defeat, Dear started wif his trash talk, saying dat, wasted aje me baca buku byk-byk, tebal-tebal, tapi kena kalah teruk. Geram seh. And being da sore loser dat I am, I started pouting and threatened to stop toking to him if he doesnt stop rubbing salt into my wound. Hmph!

But I say, he won coz he’s a cheater. I made up da word ‘GEEKY’ but he said dere’s no such word so I had to create anoder one but dat word cost 20 points! So he didnt gif up and went to Popular to get a mini dictionary and being da selenger he is, he got a Thesaurus. I couldnt find da word ‘GEEKY’ in dat small Thesaurus. But I didnt gif up ok. We went to Popular after dat and I looked up the word ‘GEEKY’ in dat thick, thick distionary and dat word exists and has a meaning. ‘GEEKY’ is an adjective for a GEEK…hahahaha, wat an explanation of meaning. I had proved to Dear dat I didnt juz create a word but dat word existed…bluek to you Dear.

Nevertheless, I still lost big time. I am so ashamed. So exhausted after dat. Neva knew playing Scrabble was so exhausting. But nvm, I got myself a free new mini-dictionary, courtesy of Dear.
