Movie: Inside Deep Throat (RA)
Time: 92 mins
Synopsis: A documentary about the most infamous and lucrative X-rated film of all time dat was released in 1972. It costed $25 K to produce but grossed $600 million, making it the highest-grossing film at the time. Wow! Filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato take give Deep Throat a reverential treatment, interviewing a wealth of people (everybody from Larry Flynt and Al Goldstein to Linda Gurley Brown, Susan Brownmiller, Bill Maher, Norman Mailer, Wes Craven, and Alan Dershowitz) about the making of the film and the effects it had on society at large.
Rating: 1/2 star. Can die ah watch documentary. 2nd and laz time gonna watch a documentary at da movies. Da 1st documentary movie was “Super Size Me” and still didnt learn my lesson. Went to watch “Inside Deep Throat” today, expected to watch some raunchy scenes coz of da RA rating but was dissapointed. More sex scenes are being shown in television shows. Talking and more talking. Interviews of da directors, actors, stars, all da peeps involved in making da movie. Actuali, I feel da documentary is not entirely focusing on “Deep Throat” movie itself, but mozly how the US govt coped wif da increasing popularity of pornography in da 70s & 80s and the eventual acceptance of pornography into mainstream American culture. So damn boring, make me so sleepy. Da onli ting preventing me from sleeping is da thot dat I’ve alreadi spend $7, so I’ve better watched it. Don watch it. Anywae moz of u still underage.
