Friday 13 Horror Marathon

I went to the Friday 13th Horror Movie Marathon at PS yesterday which cost $25, which is a steal for movie enthusiast (yeah rite!) like me & Omar and not forgetting free flow of popcorn and drinks. So we got to watch 3 movies, starting wif ‘House of Wax’ at 9pm, followed by ‘Amityville Horror’ at 11 plus and lastly ‘Cursed’ at 1 plus. The movie marathon ended at 3.45 wif both us feeling sleepy and kinda disspointed coz the last movie i.e. ‘Cursed’ sucked big time!

/Movie starts/

1st movie: House of Wax
Time: 105 mins
Sinopsis: A normal horror teen flick, where a group of teenagers who are on their way to a game, camped in the wilderness and had problems with their car and had to an isolated and weird town to fix their car problems. Wat they dont knoe is dat the whole town is managed by 2 siblings who created the town entirely out of wax. All the wax figurines are made out of real people. So as per normal, the insignificant teens get killed by the two psychos, one by one…except for the hero and heroin, who dont die no matter wat happen to dem. The movie is quite gory with all the blood and da killing.
Rating: 3 1/2 stars

/20 mins break. Refilled mixed popcorn n ice lemon tea. Feel bloated and full at this point but kept eating…hahaha/

/2nd movie starts/

2nd movie: Amityville Horror
Time: 90 mins
Sinopsis: Based on a true story that happened in Amityville in 1974, where the eldest son of the DeFeo family killed all his family members because he heard voices telling him to kill them. A year after the grisly incident, another family moved in even though they knew about the killing (stoopid!). So George (Ryan Reynolds) start to behave strangely when he is in the house, especially at 3.15am (cursed time as dats the time the DeFeo were killed). He also went thru wat the previous went thru wif all the voices and sightings of ghosts. At last, Kathy (Melissa George) realised wat was happening n wen to the lib to research on da haus. In an attempt to save her family, George (being possessed) tried to kill her and da kids. As usual, alls well ends well, Kathy mananged to hit George out of his senses and carried him into the speedboat and get the whole family far, far away from the haus. Gerl Power!!
Rating: 4 stars (Pretty scary. Scared the pants out of me…hehe)

/Break for 20 mins. This time onli refilled drinks coz was feeling sick of popcorn alreadi. Went to take some photos with Lord Vader n MRT ghost…hehehe/

/3rd movie starts/

Movie: Cursed
Time: 97 mins
Sinopsis: About 2 siblings, da sister being Christina Ricci (Ellie Hudson), who got “cursed” after being scratched and pawed by a werewolf. So the nosy brader started researching on the legend of werewolves and learnt alot e.g. both siblings started developing the “beast sign” on their palm, they cant touch platinum or their hands would burn and the way to kill a werewolf is to separate the head for the heart (crap!) and to get rid of the curse, they have to kill the source. Expectedly, the source of all the stoopid curse was Ellie’s boyfren. Stoopid story wif vain werewolf who knows how to gif da middle finger after being insulted about her looks…wateva!! Aiyah crap movie. Was very, very dissapointed wif it after a great movie like Amityville Horror. So watch at ur own risk!

So by this time, at 3.45am, I was feeling nauseous due to 2 bucketful of sweet and salted popcorns and 4 medium sized ice lemon tea, coke light and vanilla coke. I have sworn of popcorn for at least the next 10 years!
